Wæm Kælts Khæf (/kælts/ /xæf/ [indigo] [bark (of tree)]) is a subtropical Town located in Ro̠mgrënso Parish, Vt-48nhǐl District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Wæm Kælts Khæf is derived from the Constructi language, as Wæm Kælts Khæf was founded by Trèlê Èbrêgeg̈, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Wæm Kælts Khæf has a yearly average temperature of 9°C (48°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 9°C (48°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 9°C (48°F). Overview

Wæm Kælts Khæf was founded durring the early 12th century in fall of the year 1143, by Trèlê Èbrêgeg̈. The establishment of Wæm Kælts Khæf suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Wæm Kælts Khæf which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Wæm Kælts Khæf was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wæm Kælts Khæf is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Wæm Kælts Khæf is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt paverstone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. The town's minimaly adiquite have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Wæm Kælts Khæf, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same god, all performing the same rituals to bless and anoint buildings, streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holy symbol is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This certainly loves its god. More than it loves wealth. The town is very clearly poor. Buildings are run down in ways that are not imeadiatly obvious. The people are a bit too thin. The market is very eager to sell to newcomers, but not so eager to buy from them. There’s also a general lack of the hum and buzz of healthy industry in Wæm Kælts Khæf.

Civic Infrastructure

Wæm Kælts Khæf has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Wæm Kælts Khæf. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Wæm Kælts Khæf's parks.

Wæm Kælts Khæf has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Wæm Kælts Khæf's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

While Wæm Kælts Khæf might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Wæm Kælts Khæf's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
